EOLP Funding Holding Statement

Further to the news that EOLP shared with partners on 10 April regarding changes to Cheshire West Place End of Life Education funding, we acknowledge that this news is now causing some uncertainty about future access to EOLP training for colleagues working in West Place (including CCICP, MCHFT and St Luke’s Hospice).

We have been informed by West Place commissioners that they are in the process of completing an education mapping exercise with the West End of Life Steering Group to inform their future planning, they aim to complete this work by the end of May.

Until this mapping exercise is completed, we apologise that we are unable to accept bookings for core education events, which take place after 30 June, from colleagues in West Place. If you work in West Cheshire including Winsford and Northwich, you will no longer have access to funded core education. Please contact EOLP at info@eolp.org.uk  or telephone 01270 310260 if you are unsure if you are eligable or would like to register your interest for an event from July onwards.

Funded education continues to be available for staff based in Cheshire East Place.

Most of our education events offer a limited number of fully funded. Places are for people working in Cheshire that are commissioned by our local NHS and Hospice Partners. Some events attract a cost when they sit outside of EOLP’s commissioned work, or because the person attending works outside of Cheshire. Please ensure you use our booking system to determine your eligibility for booking onto EOLP events and to guarantee a reserved place.

It is with regret that we may have to turn people away from training on the day if they arrive and are found to be ineligible to attend.
