Session Overview

This day considers the main symptoms a person approaching end of life may experience and how we can manage them in a holistic way. Including:
  • Managing some of the common and lesser known symptoms that may occur during this last phase of life:
    • management of seizures
    • having the conversation around supporting Hydration and Nutrition
    • preparing patients and loved ones for a Catastrophic Haemorrhage Event
  • Frequency and occurrence of symptoms in the last few days of life
Their will be a Q & A session with an opportunity to ask our specialist panel any questions you have.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, the participant will;

  • Have a greater awareness of some common and lesser common symptoms 
  • Consider how they would apply this knowledge in their own clinical areas of practice
  • Consider how they will disseminate this learning within their own area of practice
