This Enhanced Health study day is specifically for care homes, you will gain knowledge of:

• Syringe Pump Clinical Skills Training & Practice
• Care Home Support & Training at a Glance
• The National Palliative and End of Life Care Career & Education Pathway,
• Six Steps Overview (16th September 2026 only)
• Hospice Care Overview (18th March 2027 only)

Suitable for Care Home Nurses, Community Nurses, AHPs and GPs who want to increase their knowledge relating to Residents in Care Homes.

Learning Outcomes

By attending this event, you will:

• Develop an understanding of the legal framework and clinical requirements for the Verification of Expected Death.
• Build knowledge and practical confidence in the safe use of syringe pumps within palliative and end of life care.
• Explore the support, education and training opportunities available to care homes to enhance end of life care.
• Understand the National Palliative and End of Life Care Career & Education Pathway and how it supports workforce development.
• Gain an overview of the Six Steps programme and its role in improving end of life care in care homes. (16 September 2026 event only)
• Increase your understanding of hospice care services and their role in supporting people with palliative and end of life care needs. (18 March 2027 event only)

• Length: All Day, 8:30 am start, please arrive earlier for registration

• Parking at EOLP: There is free parking on-site, please follow the signs.
• Parking at East Cheshire Hospice: There is some parking on site, but please use alternative parking in the area, if possible.
