Session Overview
Do you have regular contact with people living with Dementia? This Face to Face one-day programme is intended for qualified health and social care staff across all care settings who have regular contact with people living with dementia.
Learning Outcomes
Learning Outcomes cut across 1-14 of the Dementia Training Standards Framework (2018) by raising knowledge, skill and confidence of breath and scope of practice essential to working in health and social care today. By the end of this study day the delegate will:
- Gain knowledge, skill and confidence in the care of people with young onset Dementia (addressing Subject 10 Dementia Training Standards Framework)
- Have an awareness of co-morbid conditions that commonly exist alongside a diagnosis of dementia:
- Learning Disabilities
- Stroke
- Cancer
- Parkinsons Disease
- Understand the lived experience through presentation of illustrative stories from experts in specialist fields of care
