  • Price: Places are fully funded for staff in East Cheshire local authority areas. £300 for people outside this area.

Session Overview

This six week programme will cover a variety of topics to equip you will the knowledge and skills to lead your team into the future.

  • Handling difficult conversations within your team
  • How to prioritise time effectively
  • Resilience – how to be more resilient
  • Helping your team to cope

By the end of the course the delegate will be able to:

Demonstrate effective leadership by:

  • Examining the importance of assertiveness in a leadership role
  • Appreciating the skills needed in undertaking difficult conversations
  • Having the knowledge to undertake Situational Leadership (who to delegate to, when and how)
  • Understanding and applying the art of effective delegation
  • Being able to motivate and develop others
  • Analysing coaching skills & the importance of giving effective feedback
  • Encouraging innovation, facilitating effective change management and evaluating impact
  • Describing the importance of and acting upon maintaining own and team resilience by demonstrating support of professional colleagues, recognising the manifestations of stress on self and others, and being aware of where and when to look for support.
