Developing a Palliative and End of Life Strategy for Cheshire & Merseyside

Following the publication of the Population Based Needs Assessment (PBNA) Cheshire and Merseyside ICB are beginning to work on a new five-year strategy for Palliative and End of Life Care (PEOLC)

This strategy aims to:

  • Raise the profile of PEOLC across the system
  • Strengthen early identification and personalised care planning
  • Improve outcomes and experiences for patients, families and carers
  • Reduce avoidable unplanned hospital activity

Workshop Invitation

We invite you to join an engagement workshop that will help shape our understanding of Babies, Children & Young People’s PEOLC to support the development of a Palliative and End of Life Strategy for Cheshire & Merseyside.

In 2024, the NHS Transformation Unit worked with partners from Cheshire & Merseyside ICB and beyond to develop a shared vision for the future of children’s palliative care, this workshop will revisit this work and consider the implications for the PEOLC Strategy.
