Understanding the Impact of Loss Grief and Bereavement

loss grief and bereavement

Session Overview

Grief is a normal, natural response to loss and bereavement that everyone will experience at some point in their life. Many of us, however, have a very limited understanding of how grief can affect our feelings, thoughts, behaviours and physical health.

This session looks at how loss, grief and bereavement can impact the emotional, mental and physical health of the individual. It covers concepts and theories related to loss and grief, including the reactions and responses to loss, as well as how to help someone who is grieving.
