Chronic respiratory diseases can have a profound impact on quality of life, with symptoms such as breathlessness, fatigue and anxiety placing a significant physical and emotional burden on patients, families and those providing care. As these conditions progress, recognising palliative care needs and delivering timely, person-centred support becomes increasingly important.

Join us for a comprehensive Respiratory Study Day designed to build your knowledge, skills, and confidence in caring for people with respiratory conditions. Throughout the day, you'll explore the diagnosis and management of interstitial lung disease, bronchiectasis, COPD, and occupational lung disease, alongside the impact of tobacco addiction, oxygen assessment and prescribing, and palliative care for people with advanced respiratory disease. You'll gain practical, up-to-date knowledge to help you support high-quality, person-centred respiratory care in your clinical practice

Designed for healthcare professionals working across primary, community, hospice and secondary care, this event will provide practical, evidence-informed learning to support compassionate, coordinated care throughout the respiratory disease journey.

Who should attend:

This study day is designed for healthcare professionals, including clinicians, nurses, GPs and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs), working across all care settings with an interest in respiratory disease.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the study day, participants will be able to:

• Recognise the signs, symptoms, and key features of common and complex respiratory conditions, including COPD, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, and occupational lung disease.
• Describe the principles of assessment and management for respiratory disease, including tobacco dependence, oxygen therapy, and supporting treatment adherence.
• Understand the role of palliative care and symptom management in supporting people with advanced respiratory disease.
• Apply your learning to support safe, evidence-based, and person-centred respiratory care within your role and scope of practice.
