Session Overview

These sessions, one online and one face to face, have been designed for staff who complete NHS Health Checks within GP surgeries in Cheshire East.

Please book only one of the sessions.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  • Understand what dementia is
  • Be able to articulate the modifiable and non-modifiable dementia risk factors
  • Have an awareness of communication skill used for difficult conversations
  • Be skilled in the teach-back method for health literacy
  • Be able to access key public health resources related to dementia modifiable risks
  • Know where to go for further communication training from EOLP

This event forms part of the Specialist Palliative Care Education Programme delivered by The End of Life Partnership.

  • Time: afternoon session, 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm
  • Suitable for: Only for staff completing NHS Health Checks, within GP surgeries in Cheshire East
  • Delivered: Online or Face to face
  • Funded: This programme is funded for those that deliver NHS Health Checks across East Cheshire Place
