Who is it for ?
Those that have direct contact with carers – staff and volunteers from carers organisations, health care staff, social prescribers.
The aim of this session is to increase your knowledge and understanding of the importance of planning care in advance, to enable you to further support carers with this.
If carers can talk about and document their future plans and wishes for themselves and those they care for, they are more likely to be followed. This will give them peace of mind and allow their family and friends to carry out their wishes in confidence.
This session will cover:
• ‘Formal’ and ‘Informal’ Care Planning
• Preferred Priorities of Care
• Types of Lasting Power of Attorney
• Funeral planning
