We’re saying a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to local company Orbitas, for a recent donation of £10k which will help us to support local people, and their families, during Covid-19.
The donation has funded EOLP’s ‘All About Me’ booklet, which is available from Orbitas, or online at http://eolp.co.uk/compassionate-community-resources/ The booklet helps people to talk to their loved ones about how and where they want to be cared for at the end of their life.
“There has never been more need for ‘All About Me’ than during the Covid-19 pandemic,” says Salli Jeynes, CEO of the End of Life Partnership (EOLP). “People have found themselves separated from their loved ones during their last days and if they haven’t had planning conversations in advance it has been difficult for them to know they are respecting their loved ones’ wishes.”
David Marren, Chairman of Orbitas Bereavement Services, says “The work that we support with EOLP matches our own values and mission to support people through a difficult time. We are seeing bereaved people on a daily basis in our crematoriums and we know first- hand the difference that it makes when families have talked to their loved ones about how they want to be remembered.”
