EOLP were delighted to welcome colleagues the Point of Care Foundation to Winterley Grange to deliver a training day on Experience Based Co-Design.
Experienced Based Co-Design involves gathering experiences from patients and staff through in-depth interviewing, observations and group discussions. It focuses on patient and staff experience and emotions rather than attitudes or opinions. The approach uses storytelling to identify opportunities for improvement and focuses on the usability of the service for patients and staff. It empowers staff and patients to make changes and we are excited to see how those attending the workshop use this approach to improve end of life care across Central and West Cheshire.
We are particularly grateful to Macmillan Cancer Support for funding the training day.
